Christ Child Early Learning Center

Project Starfish helps me bring my child to a program that has quality care. They do an awesome job, and I’m thankful for Project Starfish.
— Mandy Head (Project Starfish Participant)

The Christ Child Early Learning Center is an accredited preschool and day care program housed at the St. Stephen’s Community House in the Linden area of Columbus. It serves children 6 weeks to kindergarten. In addition to designation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the Center has also earned Step Up To Quality Three Star Award administered by the State of Ohio. In providing a quality early learning program, the children have the opportunity to enter kindergarten on an equal playing field with their peers.

Christ Child members volunteer in various capacities at The Christ Child Early Learning Center including planning and executing a weekly story time in the library with an enrichment program one time per month.  We Joy, sing-music and movement classes are provided and special holiday and seasonal events are planned throughout the year.   The Christ Child Society provides Scholarship assistance for the families who are working or attending higher education classes.  For teachers, the Society provides staff meeting support, a teacher appreciation week and a teacher lounge/planning area. Christ Child firmly believes every child deserves a chance at quality education.
